APOLOGETICS

What do I know and believe about God? What do I believe about Jesus? About salvation? About sin? About eternal life? About the Bible? . . . Why do I believe what I believe? How can I be sure about what is true?

As a Christian I not only need to find answers to these questions, I am also responsible to clearly present them to those who have rational questions about faith. I need to be able to defend the Gospel when it comes under attack.

This course is especially useful for pastors and teachers, but also for every Christian whose faith is being challenged.

As your understanding of Christianity improves, your personal faith will be strengthened. The authority with which you proclaim your beliefs will grow, and you will have the courage to preach on more difficult issues. It won’t be easy . . . but the results will certainly be worth it!

Quote: “The evidence from the visible portion of the Universe indicates that matter is not eternal; that it had a beginning. Its cause logically must be eternal and uncaused. And this First Cause needs to be much more complex, powerful, and intelligent than its effect (the Universe). Therefore the Universe cannot be the product of chance.”
