Communicating God’s Word
Who wouldn’t want to listen to a good, inspirational and uplifting sermon, or . . . what preacher wouldn’t want his messages to be well-organized, biblical and relevant to his listeners?
This course on homiletics teaches the art of preparing and presenting a biblical message in an expository format. It uses material from two great contemporary preachers: “Biblical Preaching” by Haddon Robinson, and “Preacher’s Portrait” by John Stott.
From the choosing of a passage, through the process of studying and actualizing the text, to the making of the best sermon outlines and the actual presenting of the message, this course is an excellent teacher, even offering methods of self-evaluation.
Never again will you use a text as a pretext to preach something totally unrelated! After taking this course you will have all that you need to preach a great sermon based on the authority of God’s Word!
Quote: “. . . when a preacher fails to preach the Scriptures, he lacks authority. He no longer is confronting people with a word from God, but merely with another word from men. Through the preaching of the Scriptures God meets men . . . when God confronts a man and captures his spirit, something amazing happens.”
